Dates to Remember

The first formal report is coming up the week of Nov. 19-23 and will consist of parent/teacher/student conferences to discuss student personal progress and goals.

We will be dismissing two hours early (11:53am) on Tuesday November 20 to accommodate these meetings, although teachers may conduct meetings throughout the week. Buses will be running early. Teachers will be connecting with families about preferred meeting times and explain more about what the meetings will look like early next week.

Bottle Drive This Saturday

Be on the lookout for Mr. Schmidt’s class this Saturday October 27th. Starting at 9 am they will be having a bottle drive. All the $$$$ raised will go towards offsetting field trip costs! Bottles can be dropped off at the Scotch Creek Bottle depot labelled North Shuswap Elementary. Please do not leave bottles at the school. Thanks for your support!

Items to Note

Our water was given a green light yesterday; students are now able to drink from water fountains again. Thanks to all the families that sent your child with a water bottle last week! It was appreciated!

Photo Retake Day is Monday Oct 29th. Please let your child know if you are wanting them to get a retake photo. You do not need to pay in advance. Your child will get a proof sheet sent home. If you are ordering pictures from Oct 10th please have your order into the school, or completed on line by Oct 30th.

LIFE Program is also up and running again every Wednesday from 2 – 3:30 pm. Registration forms are in the office.

NSSCR is offering both a Red Cross Stay Safe Home Alone Course happening at the school Monday Oct 29th from 2-4:15 and a Babysitting Course in November. Please email or call 250-515-4682 to register.
