Indigenous Day Celebration

On Monday, June 14th we had guests come to recognize Indigenous Day. Our Indigenous Education Teacher, Tara Willard planned a great day for all. Thank you to Mona Gaze who brought each student and staff member a delicious piece of bannock! Jody Tomma and Mike Atchinson shared with students a birch bark canoe and demonstrated how to make fire, and finally a thank you to Kenthen Thomas and Melissa Kenoras for sharing with us your gifted story telling.

Playground Movement Project

We’re excited to have our playground movement pilot project nearing completion. The project incorporates lessons for students, instructional support for teachers, and the creation of movement paths and games both inside and outside of the school. This is a new district physical literacy and movement initiative under the guidance of Laura Paiement, our Healthy Schools & Self-Regulation Coordinator. Thank you Laura and your team! We love it!
